Our experiences and memories influence the way we view the world. Photography provides me with an opportunity to connect with what’s around me - even if it’s from a distance. Using my Dad’s old SLR camera, I photograph the ordinary, every day moments. By slowing down to see what’s in front of me, I can find meaning in the mess. In documenting my family’s life, I am taken on a journey of self discovery. Through photography and mixed media work I am able to let go of the past and give voice to who I am today.

I moved a lot growing up. Taking pictures was a way for me to connect with those around me. While the people in my life changed, the photos remained. Connecting with people makes my heart happy. I would love to hear from you. Truly.
