Life From Our Table

In March 2020 I went to the grocery store to prepare for a 2 week lockdown. Those 2 weeks turned into 2 months and then 2 years. Schools were closed, businesses shut down, any sense of ‘normal’ life stripped away. Confined within the walls of home, my family and I were safe. It was the one place I had any sense of control. Home provided comfort but with nothing to mark the passage of time and no where to go, I felt trapped by the walls that kept me safe. This project explores the idea of home as both refuge and prison. The images are my attempt to find peace during a time of uncertainty.
